There are no application, origination or prepayment fees for a Chase Private Consolidation Loan.
The minimum amount needed to consolidate private student loans is $7,500 and the maximum is $150,000, based on credit eligibility.
You can apply for a Chase Private Consolidation Loan any time after you graduate, as long as you are in your grace or repayment periods for the private student loans you want to consolidate. You can make the most of your grace period by waiting to consolidate at the end of it. Repayment begins immediately when you consolidate.
You can consolidate any eligible private student loans that were used for your qualified education expenses, including certified private student loans where the funds went directly to the school. These can be any private Chase loans, private loans from another lender or a combination of the two.
No. However, all of your private student loans can be consolidated into a Chase Private Consolidation Loan and all of your federal student loans can be consolidated into a federal consolidation loan. This means that after consolidating your federal and private loans separately, you'll only have two loan payments each month.
Yes. You can consolidate if you only have one private student loan. Consolidation may allow you to take advantage of a lower interest rate and could lower your monthly payment.
You can apply on your own or with a cosigner. Having a creditworthy cosigner will result in a lower interest rate than if you apply on your own. In addition, upon your request, the cosigner can be removed after 36 months of on-time payments, if you meet established credit criteria, and you would not lose the interest rate.

Repayment begins approximately 45 days after the consolidation loan is funded. If you consolidate during your grace period, repayment will begin immediately. You can make the most of your grace period by waiting to consolidate at the end of it.
The loan repayment term can be up to 30 years depending on the total amount of the loan.
